Funeral Ceremony
Hello there,
I specialize in creating warm & inviting funeral services where I tell the stories that make you laugh, cry & above all celebrate the people we have gathered to mourn. A funeral is a sad occasion, but it’s also can be one of joy at the life your loved one has lived, the lives they have touched & the legacy that they have left for us.
Coming together to share this moment is so important & my job is to make that easier for you. I can help you retell the tales that made them who they were & involve the people who they knew and loved.
Listening carefully, chatting openly, creating the story of someone's life, is a real honour. My job is to help you & your family give your loved one the send off they deserve.
The way I work is simple. Once you decide on me as your celebrant, I will then get in touch and make a time for us to meet either at your home or somewhere locally. Then we will spend an hour or so chatting, I may call others if you think it’s appropriate, and get a picture of who your loved one was, & write a service uniquely for them. You may want to read or have others speak; we can discuss it all. We will then agree on a final draft.
I offer all my families a lovely candle from Star Child in Glastonbury, the colour of your choice, which I light at the start of the service and then gift to you at the end with your ceremonial copy of the service.
An English teacher for many years, I can be helpful in choosing a poem or a reading with you. I can give advice on reading or do the reading myself if it is all too much on the day. I will always be at there early to make sure everything runs smoothly.
I look forward to getting together to talk about your loved one.
Yours truly

Testimonial from Colin Albery
Naomi was exactly what I needed at the right time. She listened gently to my needs, worries and ideas, and devised a form of words that totally captured my father’s life and was accessible to all that attended the ceremony. She is a delight to deal with and I am so pleased I found her at a difficult time.
From Caroline Jeanes
I’ve praised you loads since the service. You truly did a fantastic send off for mum. As I’ve said to people, you made us as a family feel at ease and also gave us some comfort. My mum would have liked you very much. When you spoke about her at the funeral it was as if you had known her. That was very comforting. You have a very soft caring voice. Obviously no one wants a death, but you are highly recommended by me and my family to take the service.
