Hello and welcome.
Celebrating the high and low points in people’s lives began the summer before last, after the glow of my 50th birthday faded and I started on my new career as a celebrant. Having taught English and Film at secondary schools both here and abroad for the last 25 years, the skills of a celebrant were all there, I just needed to realize them. Whether you need me to create a warm, friendly and thoughtful service to say hello, say goodbye or join you together for the rest of your lives, I am here to listen and write your story with you. I am also now the Celebrant in Residence and Events Co-Ordinator at Lawrence Castle, Haldon Belvedere in Haldon Forest, Exeter, a beautiful wedding venue that is re-opening it’s doors after 7 years without a wedding!
Right from the start I loved talking to big crowds, taking part in public speaking competitions from age 14. I moved into advertising at 18 and then started teaching English Literature, Language and Film to A level and GCSE students, both here and in Portugal, for the last 20 years. This means I am a confident, warm and thoughtful speaker with access to so much poetry and prose - I can always find just the right tone for your day. I am also use to presenting things just so- this image is the beautiful table and set up for each wedding which means I have all the things right where I need them! I print beautiful vows cards, a gorgeous ceremony on headed vellum paper and finished with a ribbon and provide the ribbons for your handfasting, if you choose to have one.

Fantastic celebrant
I actually can’t thank Naomi Jane enough! She came to my rescue at short notice. She did the most amazing service for us! She went above and beyond and made really amazing suggestions (like the guests blessing our rings and a candle for the ceremony). She prints our vows and ceremony on the most beautiful paper / card too!
She was so thorough and she created such a beautiful atmosphere. The guests LOVED her. Everyone said how amazing she was. So warm and welcoming. I’m genuinely so blessed to have met her let alone have her perform our ceremony!
